First Air both offer scheduled passenger flights from Kugluktuk to
Yellowknife.  Canoes may be shipped by air cargo but shipments of this
nature can be delayed until space becomes available.  Alternatively
canoes can be shipped twice a summer by barge service with Northern
Transportation Company (NTCL).  Canoes should be nested if possible to
reduce shipping volume.  The use of pack canoes would greatly reduce
cost and logistics of handling canoes.
