Tea on the Tundra

Fly past the last trees and sip hot tea on the open tundra - unforgettable!

Have you ever dreamed of crossing the treeline? Let's go! We follow the Yellowknife River north along Franklin's historic route, watching the forest thin to scattered "little sticks" and then vanish into open, rolling tundra painted rust, gold and silver.

We land on a sandy beach at Greenstockings Lake on the edge of the Barren Lands and you get 1 1/2 hours to roam! Wander caribou trails, scramble over glacier-dropped boulders, pick wild blueberries in season - then settle in with snacks and a steaming cup of tea on the tundra.
